geneXplain GmbH

GeneXplain aims to provide a comprehensive platform for bioinformatic, cheminformatic and systems biological tools. The raison d'être of this platform is to assist translational research in the life sciences, mainly in the context of personalized medicine and pharmacogenomics. Integrating the best technology available in the public domain with a rich set of proprietary tools, geneXplain makes a novel attempt to combine the robustness of commercial offerings with the latest state of the art of academic research.

In this project, geneXplain will further develop its platform, which is based on the BioUML technology of the Institute of Systems Biology in Novosibirsk, Russia, so that it will be suitable for integrating all data relevant for the GERONTOSHIELD project. The platform will also comprise tools for causative mining of gene expression data by integrated promoter and pathway analyses.
